We put on a party to collect hAts for the local American Cancer society's wig room. We used a roaring 20s theme and it was very fun and invited the community."
11:00am - Church Service - Windsor United Methodist Church - Windsor, New York - Mrs. New York Petite America 2015, Sally Forbidussi-Bennett
Sally told us: "God doesn't make mistakes! I spoke about how difficult it was that I was losing my hair with cancer. Funny thing is my hair was falling out way before I realized it was cancer. I thought I was going to need like 52 wigs just to be ok. The Dr. said by day 15 your hair will be gone. I was thinking he was wrong by day 14 and maybe I was different. I didn't shave my head I just held on in case. But by day 15 after chemo the day before - it began and by the afternoon it was gone! I was ready and what I realized was, wow I'm still the same person. I didn't change I just lost my hair. And so began the kickoff of my campaign. This is the plan God has for me. To teach and share that God doesn't make mistakes. Hair does not make a person. We truly all have beauty in many different ways!!"
She also began wearing fun "Kentucky Derby" hats!
