Mrs. Woman Petite America 2010, Katie McMahon
Mrs. Woman Petite America
Katey McMahon
Katey is a 42 year old Administrative Assistant.  She has been married to her husband, Michael, a professional musician, for 18 1/2 years and they have two daughters attending Salem State College, Mallory and Allison.   She describes herself as a bubbly free spirit who likes making people laugh and  loves spending time with her family, which includes her rescued dog Zoe (www.saveasato.org).    Katey is an athlete and avid body-builder and spends many hours taking weight lifting classes and training for sporting events.
When she is not at work or working out, Katey enjoys antique shopping with her husband.   He collects vintage instruments and she collects vintage clothing!  Some day they would like to own and operate their own vintage store.
As a self-proclaimed science fiction geek, Katey looks forward to attending any Star Trek and Star Wars conventions she can find.  She says they are a ton of fun and everyone lets loose and just has a blast!  It's a crazy alien world out there but she has met some great friends at these annual get-togethers.
Something Katey is very proud of is the children's book she has written.  It is about being afraid of the dark and how it's okay to be afraid.  Her husband, who is also an artist, is the illustrator.  She plans on donating a portion of the proceeds from the book to children's charities.
During her reign Katey will spend her time volunteering for events that help to promote healthy communities.  She will spend her year traveling and promoting the Petite America System while helping to raise awareness about how we can all make a difference in the lives of others (human and animal).
