Parker Sanchez
Parker strives to live by the motto: "The PURPOSE of life is to find your gift. The MEANING of life is to give that gift away."
Parker is a professional ballroom dance instructor for Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studios, where she travels, competes, and performs with her students, and has been recongized for her expertise at teaching newcomers. One of the great joys of her life is sharing her love of dance with students of all ages and all walks of life.
Parker has been married to her husband Pablo, a corrections sergeant, for six years. They reside in northern New Jersey, near both of their families. Parker's appreciation of the courageous work done by her husband and all law enforcement officers led her to become a member of Wives Behind the Badge, a national all-volunteer non-profit organization offering moral and financial support to law enforcement families across the United States.
Additionally, Parker supports the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, which honors peace officers through the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and the National Law Enforcement Museum, set to open in 2013.
As Mrs. Petite America 2010, Parker hopes to raise awareness of the sacrifices of law enforcement officers and their families, and to support both Wives Behind the Badge and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

Parker will be racing with & chaperoning the "Komen Pink Princesses" - a group for girls 8 to 16 years of age, who have a passion for educating and enlightening young women. The Pink Princesses work diligently with Susan G. Komen for the Cure� North Jersey Affiliate, in Summit, New Jersey to educate their peers. Pink Princess duties include learning about healthy lifestyle choices, and breast health. Their goal is to bring to light the reality of this disease to their peers.

Benefiting the Academy for Visual & Performing Arts Education Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 organization that supports the educational and artistic goals of the AVPA through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and other charitable activities. This fundraiser is styled after the popular *Dancing with the Stars* television show. Couple ("celebrity" community members paired with dance professionals from the local Arthur Murray dance studios) will compete for the honor of being named the winners of this gala event. Votes, in the form of dollars donated, will determine the People's Choice winner. And, a ballroom dance professional will select the Judges' Choice winner. The name of this event incorporates the cardiac benefits of dance and exercise (the hearts) and the dance itself (the arts).

Here is our amazing float! We are so excited to be riding on the Spirit of 45 float with the Grand Marshall, Jerry Marshall - former New York Yankee and 1950 World Series MVP as well as U.S. Marine Corp Aviator in WWII and Korea.
Jerry was a great sport and we were so happy to have our picture taken with him.
This statue represents one of the most iconic images from WWII - the kiss in Times Square that was seen around the world!

Every October, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, over 15,000 six foot long pink ribbons are hung in towns throughout Northern New Jersey to raise awareness about early detection.

Volunteering at Greater NYC Race For the Cure for Susan G. Komen for the Cure - Central Park, New York City, NY - Mrs. Petite America, Parker Sanchez
There were over 25,000 participants, including over 1,600 survivors. Our Mrs. Petite America, Parker Sanchez was assigned to the Ask.com booth. Ask.com was one of the main sponsors of the race, and set up a special website www.ask.com/cure which donates 10 cents to NYC Komen when a person goes on and answers a question.
